Food bank driver (Newquay - Stock & Delivery Driver)

Volunteer Opportunity: Stock & Delivery Driver – Newquay area

We’re looking for dedicated volunteer drivers to assist with collecting donations, moving crates of food, and home deliveries, ensuring the food reaches people who need it most

Why this role matters You’ll play an important role in promptly transporting food from various collection points to the storage container for sorting, and finally onto the local food bank, which will help to make a real difference in your community.

Location & Hours This role is based in the Newquay area

• Tuesday - St Columba's Church, St Columb Minor (8.15am-12.30pm)
• Wednesday - Newquay town centre (9.30am-11.30am)
• Thursday - Newquay town centre (8am-10am)
• Friday - St Michael's Church, Newquay (9.30am-12pm)
• Saturday - St Columba Church, St Columb Major (8am-10am & 10am-1pm)

We don't expect weekly attendance, but we are looking for someone who can commit to a couple of shifts per month.

What the role involves As a confident and safe driver, you’ll enjoy being part of a team and be physically strong so that you can lift and load crates of food. Your flexible and committed approach will help to maximise donations and improve the efficiency of the food bank. A good knowledge of the local area is important.

We have two smaller Nissan vans and a large electric Mercedes Sprinter van that we use.

A DBS check will be required for this role
