We are looking for a volunteer coordinator at Crowborough Foodbank

This role requires 10 to 14 hours per week and will include responsibilities such as:

  • Report to the charity’s trustees bi-annually or at such special meetings as the trustees may call.
  • Advise the trustees of exceptional events, such as complaints, safe guarding, major press contacts, accidents, external evaluations or risk to reputation etc.
  • Follow the direction of the Trustee Board and enact through the management team.
  • Point of contact with Trussell both regionally and nationally.
  • Undertake regular updates with the Crowborough Foodbank team leads through management meetings and ‘Chair’ these meetings.
  • Manage volunteer recruitment with volunteer coordinator.
  • Oversee and report on stock levels in and stock out to Management team, Trustees and Trussell.
  • Support the grants lead on grant applications, spend and grand body updates.
  • Provide the volunteer treasurer with details of payments and receipts, and supporting documents, to enable proper accounting and financial compliance.
  • Oversee volunteer newsletter, social media and donation and grants thank yous.
  • Oversee statutory compliance requirements across the Foodbank; Health and Safety, GDP, Financial.
  • Maintain and foster contact with local Crowborough networks, organisations and companies. (A volunteer deputy coordinator may be taken on to share the above responsibilities)
