The Parcel Packing team at Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank packs emergency food parcels containing 3 days' worth of food and snacks into boxes and bags for clients in crisis, according to a list which has been drawn up by a nutritionist. These very in size and content according to the size of the client's family and their dietary requirements.

Prior to packing, all clients are telephoned to discuss the size of their family and their particular requirements. Unique shopping lists are created for each client and these are sent to warehouse. All parcels are packed at the warehouse in Tulse Hill SW2 3UP. Then they are taken by our drivers for delivery to the client's home or taken to a Hub where the client collects the parcel in person.

We seek to provide the best parcel we can taking into account the clients dietary needs, and what we have available in the warehouse to give out. We try to ensure our parcels include an appropriate range of foods whatever the clients background.

This is a seasonal role so packing and volunteering would be on a short term basis and we require you to commit to a minimum of 2 x 2 hour shifts from 18th to 23rd December. Please note that our warehouse can be very cold with shutters and doors open although hot drinks are available.

For this role we also require you to attend one of our two training sessions at our warehouse on the following dates:

Tuesday 9th December 6pm - 6.45pm or Thursday 11th December 7pm - 7.45pm

Thank you.
