Volunteer Driver Seasonal (for Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank 18th to 23rd Dec inclusive except Sunday 21st Dec)

Seasonal Volunteer Driver required on Thursday 18th, Friday 19th, Saturday 20th, Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December between 11 am and 5.30 pm in 2 hour shifts (with a minimum of 2 x 2 hour shifts during this time period).

You’ll play an important role in transporting packed food parcels from the warehouse to client's homes which will help to make a real difference in your community. A confident and safe driver, you’ll enjoy being part of a team and be physically strong so that you can lift and load crates of food. Your flexible and committed approach will help to maximise the amount of deliveries we can make in the last few days before Xmas, and improve the efficiency of the Foodbank.

Role involves collecting parcels from our warehouse and delivering them to various addresses around the Lambeth and Croydon boroughs. We encourage volunteers to bring a "buddy" with them if possible to help them carry and deliver the parcels which can be heavy and numerous at this time of year. This is not essential though. Your own taxed, insured vehicle and driving licence are required.
