Foodbank deputy centre coordinator (Bromley Borough)
Our food bank provides emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis, while campaigning for a UK without the need for food banks. Without our volunteers, selflessly donating their time, we simply would not be able to support the thousands of people in crisis.
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and committed Deputy Centre Coordinator to support the Centre Coordinator and help keep the centre running smoothly. This is a practical, people-focused role involving opening and closing the centre, overseeing daily activity, and covering sickness and holidays when needed.
What You’ll Do
You’ll use our computer systems confidently to support people accessing help through food bank vouchers. This includes providing three days of food, issuing supermarket vouchers, offering fuel support, and signposting to other services. You’ll also help lead and support our volunteers, complete end-of-day reports, order stock, and work closely with staff across the organisation. The role is hands-on and involves lifting stock crates at times.
Who We’re Looking For
Someone friendly, organised, and confident working with people from all backgrounds. You’ll need to follow processes accurately, enjoy supporting a team, and be a resident of the London Borough of Bromley.
