Centre Packer

Location: The Walnuts, Hope church Orpington

Hours: Every Friday, 12:00 – 3:30 pm

About the Role: We are looking for a friendly and caring individual to join our well-established team as a Centre Packer. In this role, you’ll help prepare bespoke food parcels for people visiting our foodbank, ensuring every parcel is packed with care and attention. You’ll be following our packing list closely, supporting your team, and helping provide the best possible experience for everyone who comes through our doors.

Key Responsibilities:

Pack food parcels according to our packing lists, ensuring all items are included and presented carefully. Support and assist other team members as needed. Offer a kind, welcoming presence to all foodbank visitors. Help maintain a warm and friendly environment for clients. Occasionally assist with tasks such as checking food vouchers, preparing refreshments, and guiding visitors to other support services.

Person Specification: Friendly, sociable, and compassionate. Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Patient and caring, with an eye for detail when packing parcels. Committed to providing dignity and respect to all foodbank users.
