Meadows Foodbank and Pantry would like The Meadows to be a place where no one has to go hungry. We operate both a Trussell foodbank and a Your Local Pantry membership food pantry, both set in Bridgeway Hall in the heart of The Meadows. Our Meadows Food Pantry has over 120 members and exists to help soften the blow of the high cost of living and bring people together around food. We need enthusiastic and hard working volunteers to help deliver our service. If you share our vision and have good interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to working and good computer literacy then come and join us.
Why volunteer with us
Volunteering is a fantastic way for you to be involved in your local community and volunteers are at the heart of all that we do as a food bank. The role of volunteers dedicating their time and skills to support people in crisis will continue to be critical as we work to fulfil our vision of seeing a UK without the need for food banks.
Support and personal development
We will provide you with ongoing support and development opportunities. You will have a main contact at the food bank and we are happy to arrange a taster session for you to meet other volunteers and to find out more about the role and the food bank.
