As a Supermarket Collection Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting local people in crisis by helping us collect the food donations we rely on.

This opportunity takes place during the week, and a Team Leader will guide each session, with full information and a clear briefing provided in advance. You can choose dates that suit you - whether that’s just a couple of hours a month or something more regular.

You’ll understand the importance of supermarket collections in raising awareness of the food bank and feel comfortable approaching customers, offering them a shopping list, and asking for a food donation. You’ll also help sort donations ready for delivery to the local food bank.

Your positive, friendly, and enthusiastic approach will help encourage donations and maximise support for people in crisis across your local community.
