Virtual Signposting coordinator (Friday Telephone Signposter (Midhurst & Petworth area))

Our food bank provides emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in need. Without our volunteers, selflessly donating their time, we simply would not be able to support the thousands of people in crisis.

As a telephone signposting coordinator, you will play a vital role in our foodbank, ensuring that we are meeting the demand for our services, providing help and support to people in need in the local community on the phone. This will involve taking details to fulfil their food parcel, as well as referring to other agencies, who can help our clients out of their current situation. You should have a good telephone manner, be compassionate and enjoy listening to others.  You will also need to be reasonably computer-literate. The role is one day a week, working from home. The hours are flexible and can fit around other commitments. We meet as a team once every two/three months and there is support available in between.
