Social media coordinator (Social Media Volunteer)

As a Social Media Volunteer, you will play a central role in expanding our organisation's online presence. You will manage the day-to-day running of our Social Media Platforms; planning and creating content which showcases our work to the wider community. This role would be for 3-5 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:

 Develop engaging content for a range of Social Media Platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, MailChimp, Tiktok, Youtube)

 Collaborate with the Campaigns Coordinator to assist in the creation of multimedia content (such as graphics, videos, and infographics) that aligns with our organisational goals, initiatives and campaigns. 

 Create and manage a comprehensive content calendar for Foyle Network Foundation’s different platforms.

 Edit, schedule and publish posts, in a timely matter, to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness. 

 Monitor social media messages, comments and inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate team member for response. 

 Analyse trends and leverage hashtags to increase visibility and engagement.

 Analyse social media performance using analytics tools, in order to provide insights for improving engagement and assessing the effectiveness of campaigns.

 Attend events when required, to generate social media content from the occasion.

 Knowledge of social media platforms and their analytical tools is desirable.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 The ability to work independently and collaboratively when required.

 Creativity and the ability to engage wider audiences, in order to build the following of Foyle Network Foundation.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to build their experience in Social Media Management, Content Creation and Community Outreach. We have a team of over 50+ volunteers and 10 staff who you’ll collaborate with to increase awareness about our organisation and it’s services. Hours can be worked to suit your schedule.
