As the welcoming face of the food bank you’ll be sociable, enjoy meeting people and able to offer friendly, caring support to those in crisis. You’ll receive and check food vouchers, prepare food parcels, make refreshments for visitors, and ensure items are packed safely and appropriately. A key part of the role is checking the Trussell database for client referrals and accessing the information needed to support people who have been referred to us. You’ll also be comfortable using a computer to record information and help people access other services. Throughout, you’ll provide a listening ear and support people with compassion and dignity.
