Events and Administrative Volunteer (Essex)

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, high-performing team who cares passionately about making life better for every individual who accesses our food banks. Together we support a network of 41 food banks across the East of England, 11 of which are in Essex. You will primarily support the Area Manager for Essex with admin for online meetings, regional events and training, as well as opportunities to volunteer with the food banks directly on specific projects.

Role based: Home based in Essex (with opportunities for in person attendance) Ideally, you will be able to drive, have access to a car, and a clean driving licence as the role will involve travel to some food bank centres. You will be required to provide a copy of your full driving licence, insurance certificate, vehicle MOT certificate, and proof that your vehicle is taxed. Please note checks are completed on an annual basis. Travel expenses will be covered. Travel to food bank centres will be included as part of your volunteering hours.

Time commitment: This is a remote role with an ideal commitment of at least two to four hours per week, between Monday and Thursday 10am to 3pm.

Support and personal development
This role requires a minimum commitment of 12 months. You will be given all the required training over the first few weeks and provided with ongoing support and development opportunities. Training for this role will vary depending on your experience. You will have a main contact throughout your time volunteering with us.
