Packer (Lambeth South & Croydon Foodbank working in our warehouse at SW2 3BH but moving to Tulse Hill SW2 3UP in March 2025. Mondays 10 am -12 pm or 12 pm to 2pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 12 pm - 2 pm.)

A parcel packer at Lambeth South & Croydon Foodbank puts together emergency food parcels containing 3 days' worth of food and snacks into boxes and bags for clients in crisis, according to a list which has been drawn up by a nutritionist. These lists very in size and content according to the size of the client's family and their specifications. The parcels are then delivered either to the clients home by our drivers or to a Hub where the client collects the parcel in person.

This voluntary role involves carefully selecting items from our warehouse shelves and packing them according to the list. You will be volunteering in our warehouse in Streatham, but from March 2025 this will move to Tulse Hill SW2 3UP. This voluntary role is a great way to meet other people who share your passion to eradicate poverty in our community and learn what the Foodbank is able to provide in a physical and practical way to the families/individuals we support.

We ask that you do one shift a week either on a Monday from 10 am to 12pm or 12 pm to 2 pm, Tuesdays 12 pm to 2 pm or Thursdays 12 pm to 2 pm.
