We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for compassionate and empathetic individuals with excellent customer service skills to join our team of volunteers.

We are expanding our Customer Service volunteer team to support individuals seeking assistance through food banks, as well as those reaching out for general information. This essential role helps ensure that those in need can access critical resources quickly and efficiently.

Role Overview: As a volunteer, you will commit to assisting clients every Monday from home, providing support via phone and email. Your responsibilities will include answering calls, resolving issues, and connecting clients with the appropriate food support services. You may be the first point of contact for clients, offering them vital assistance and hope.

Additional Responsibilities:

Help identify fuel needs for clients with pre-paid meters who are unable to top up. If referred by Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), assist in submitting referral forms for fuel vouchers. The role requires basic computer literacy, as you will use online systems and forms to assist clients.
