Food Bank Centre Helper ( DCS user) - Bromley Borough
As a volunteer computer user, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food bank services and supporting individuals in crisis. By using our Foodbank DCS (Data Collective System), you will help process client referrals, verify their details, and ensure they receive the right support.
Role Overview:
Greet clients with a warm welcome as they arrive and offer them a cup of tea or coffee. Assist clients by checking their e-vouchers, which are issued when they have a referral. Use the Data Collective System to search for their voucher, verify the information, including household size, and check their ID. Record the supermarket voucher issued to the client, log their ID details, and ensure all information is accurate and up to date in the system. Go over the picking list with the client, checking for any allergies or special requests, and customize their food order accordingly. Hand the completed order over to the picking team, who will prepare the food for the client. Training on using the system will be provided, and you will receive full support as you become familiar with the role.
