Warehouse assistant (with responsibility for stockroom & shop counter re stocking)

Acting as the link between food donations coming in and reaching those in crisis, you’ll support the smooth running of your local food bank. You’ll be responsible for restocking the store room & shop counter within the Chichester Foodbank. You will be part of the warehouse team & when needed will also help with sorting and packing food and additional items in the warehouse. You’ll be organised and have an eye for detail; this includes checking, weighing and recording stock and sorting food by date and type. This is a physical role as you’ll be on your feet a lot and you must be comfortable with some heavy lifting and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.

Ideally hours would be 2-3 hours a day in the morning , this role is needed on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays & can be adapted to multiple volunteers if needed.
