Food bank centre helper (Blaydon - Food bank Centre Helper)

As the welcoming face of the food bank you’ll be sociable, enjoy meeting people and able to offer friendly and caring support to those in crisis. You’ll receive and check food vouchers, prepare food parcels for the people who visit the food bank. You’ll provide a listening ear and support people in accessing other services with compassion and dignity. The role can be physical and reasonable adjustments can be made. Volunteering times are Fridays: 1pm to 3.30pm - this includes set up time, session time and close down. You do not have to be available for every Friday.
