Are you passionate about supporting your community and making a real difference?

Southwark Foodbank is looking for a committed volunteer to help at our weekly foodbank sessions every Friday in Bermondsey (1:00 pm – 3:00 pm).

This role is vital in ensuring individuals and families in crisis receive essential food support in a welcoming, compassionate environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Distributing food parcels to clients

  • Offering refreshments and creating a warm, supportive space

  • Sharing information about additional support services

  • Handling food parcels (up to 20kg)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg

  • Compassionate and empathetic towards those experiencing hardship

  • Willing to offer information about wider support services

  • Able to commit every Friday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm for at least 6 months

This is a voluntary position, but your time and support will have a lasting impact on the lives of those facing food insecurity in Southwark.

If you're ready to join a team that’s truly making a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note this is a volunteer role and not a paid opportunity.
